Shaping Organizational Culture
Have you ever heard the phrase “culture is what you tolerate at the fringes?”
I like to think of this idea as an equation:
behaviors you celebrate + behaviors you tolerate = culture
It is not a “minus” because all these behaviors go on at your organization.
The fringes challenge and shape the evolution of your culture as a whole - so be careful what you tolerate, as well as what you celebrate.
